One thing that I am very passionate about is helping others when I can. I hope to teach this to my children as well. In the past I have organized food drives for Second Helpings and a for friend in need. I have arranged for my office to adopt a family for Christmas several times, including shopping, wrapping, and collecting donations. I’ve worked with the Hendricks County division of MIBOR to help with their annual Christmas giving.
Now it is time to help again, and I would love to get as many people involved as possible. That is why I am asking YOU to take part in this project!
This year, Sycamore Elementary school is helping to stock the shelves at Gleaners Food Bank, a local organization that helps support families in our community. This is a (school) year-long project, in honor of the service displayed during the events of 9/11, designed to help the community and to help the children learn the importance of service and giving back.
Each month the school will be collecting a different food item, and I want to help make the donations pour in! You can do your part by dropping off your donations at my office in Avon, and I will take them all over to the school.
For the month of September, we are collecting PEANUT BUTTER. We only have a couple weeks left, so please drop off your donation of peanut butter at my office (10332 East US Hwy 36 in Avon– behind Best Buy) and I will be sure that the donations get to the school.
